We at Unmanned Tech know that building and tinkering with drones can be very rewarding but also very frustrating at times. The processes are complex and often there are no comprehensive guides or manuals to help you. That is why we set up our forum website dronetrest.com for like-minded individuals to converse and swap ideas on what things work, and what things do not.
We would love for our forum website to be as useful as possible and so cover, and resolve, the entire range of drone-related problems that one can encounter. We are therefore starting two separate monthly competitions; who can write the most valuable and helpful guide/manual, and who writes the article which gets the most views. We hope to encourage everyone who has ever had any problem, large or small, to write about how they resolved it so that the entire drone community can evolve.
The ‘Guide/Manual’ Competition
This is the competition for the manual/guide writers among you.
The Rules:
- The same article cannot be submitted more than once by any one, or several, person(s).
- The content of the article must be unique (videos can be included from YouTube etc. but all written content must be unique).
- The article must come under the category of ‘Guide/Manual’, or ‘Project’.
- The article must be over 500 words long.
- The prize is £40 in store credit.
- The winner is chosen by the team at Unmanned Tech for what we decide is the most useful and comprehensive guide.
The ‘Most Popular’ Competition
This is a slightly freer competition in that you can write about anything drone-related that you like; it does not have to be a guide or a manual. However, guides and manuals can also be considered in this competition and so it is possible for one submission to win both of these competitions!
The Rules:
- The same article cannot be submitted more than once by any one, or several, person(s).
- The prize is £10 in store credit.
- The winner is simply decided by the most popular article of the month which is based on a combination of views, comments and likes. You can see the top topics this month here
Dates and Winner
The first closing date will be 27th March 2015. The winner will be announced on the following Monday on dronetrest.com so keep your eyes 
peeled 
! These are ongoing competitions and in general, the closing date will be the last Friday of the month, with the winner 
to be announced on the following Monday 
. This competition will run on a monthly basis, if your article remains the post popular for another month you will still be eligible for the price…
