Order Number: 699121
Product Name: Neutronrc At32f435 Mini Aio
Brand: NeuronRC
Motor does not spin when armed
Checked wiring, changed motor wont spin on esc 1
Hi good day Alan,
I’m sorry to hear you are battling with your AIO.
Thank you for the photos and the video, I have forwarded these to the manufacturer to see what we can do about it. I am not confident in them replacing the board as it looks like the solder pad for the motor wire has been bridged to the mosfet with solder, which would cause this issue.
It has been marked in the image below.
I will however try my best to speak with them.
As soon as I hear back from them I will let you know.
If there is anything else I can assist with please let me know?
How would you rate our customer service?
Regards,
David

That shot shows the vrb tape. This shot shows there is no bridging.

Hi Neil good day,
NeutronRC is asking for high definition images of the underside of the AIO. This is what we received from them:
Follow the second of my previous suggestions, disassemble the AIO and take clear photos of the back to check if there is any damage to the micro resistors.
Would you be able to take these photos so I can try get this resolved for you as quickly as I can?
I do apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

David

Photo attached, it was in 6mm rubber standoffs from a glassfibre carrier plate. Only taken off and landed on garden table so no chance of any contact with dirt or water!

Hi Neil good day again,
I have sent your message and image through to Neutron, will let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

Hi Neil good day,
I spoke with NeutronRC again and received the following recommendations:
From the attached photos, I can see no hardware damage. The motor pads also seem to be well soldered.
Ask the customer again if the ESC firmware has been updated. If not, try to update the new firmware. Firmware target:
Or I will give you the default firmware, try to flash it once, and do not rule out firmware abnormalities (especially when adjusting the motor direction through Betaflight configner 10.10, which causes ESC firmware abnormalities.)
At the same time, tell the customer that when updating the ESC firmware, please select the two options above in the ESC options.
And to adjust the motor direction, please go to the ESC configurator to adjust it, do not use betaflight confgner to adjust the motor direction.
Please also see the attached .hex file.
Hope this helps?

David

Hello David
I haven’t done any updating on the firmware and is as it was when shipped. In addition I have not reversed any motors in betaflight and have reversed the motors by switching two wires over. This all worked when first wired up and all was well for 2 flights in the back garden. When I then took it out to fly motor 1 juddered and has not worked properly since despite changing the motor and trying two other motors.
I can look at firmware but as I haven’t updated or changed anything from when it worked I assume a hardware problem.
Regards
Neil
Hi Neil good morning,
Would you mind trying to follow the recommendation from Neutron so I can go back to them with that feedback as well? I tend to agree with what you have said, but that been said we have had a couple issues recently with ESC firmware and compatibility.
Flashing new firmware might just sort out the issue and get you back in the air ASAP.

I can see the ESC and can read it but it won’t upgrade from 2.0 as you can see from following screen I have downloaded the right firmware but it isn’t happy. No options appear in the screen on line and I have the correct firmware but attached screen shows no success.
David
I have now updated to 2.12 and the esc 1 still does the exact same judder then stop, the others spool up fine. I think we can assume it is busted, broken, kaput?
Regards
Neil
Hi Neil good morning,
I have sent this off to NeutronRC again, hopefully we hear back from them today. I have explained that you have now complied with their requests and have asked for their assistance.
Will update you as soon as I hear back.
Apologies for the lengthy back and forth on this matter.

Any word back from them on this?

Hi Neil good day,
China just got back from a week long national holiday, I’m assuming this is the cause of their slow replies. I have reached out to them again for assistance, stating that you have done everything they have requested and still you have not had any success.
I will follow up with you as soon as I hear back.
Again, I do apologise for the delays.

David
