I am unable to connect the flight controller to betaflight.
With no lipo connected, should I see the flight controller LED illuminate when connected to PC.
When a usb cable is connected from PC to f/c, no LED is present.

Sorry to hear about the issues you have. We will check this some more tomorrow when back at work. But in the meantime, can you check/confirm a few things?
1- Try a different USB cable/USB port on your PC (don’t use a USB hub).
2- When connecting USB, when you don’t see an LED, can you confirm this is on the flight controller itself? As the drone LED will not work under USB, but there should be some USB on the FC that lights up to indicate it has power.
3- If you connect the battery, do you see any LED?
