Today, weâve taken a gander at the Flywoo FlyBee 16 HD O4, a drone thatâs about as big as your average deck of cards but has a lot more tricks up its sleeve. Nick Burns delves into its specs, performance, and whether itâs worth your time or just another pocket-sized disappointment. Spoiler: Itâs got potential, but maybe leave it out of your indoor antics unless youâre keen on redecorating.
Equipped with a Goku F405 HD flight controller and a spiffy DJI O4 Lite camera, this little marvel can handle 1S to 2S batteries like a champ. However, while it performs admirably outdoors thanks to RockSteady stabilisation, indoors itâs a bit more of a gamble, especially if you value your walls. Nick found that flying in suitable conditions is key to avoiding mishapsâboth for the drone and your sanity.
The battery life varies with different models, ranging from about four minutes to over six, depending on what youâre using. Unsurprisingly, heftier batteries offer longer flights but come with the added risk of turning your drone into a rather fragile projectile upon landing. On the plus side, the FlyBee comes with goodies like spare foam pads and a repair kit, which might just soften the blow when things go awry.
If you fancy yourself a compact FPV enthusiast, this could be right up your alley, provided youâre aware of its limitations. The base price starts at around $107.99, with a Bind and Fly version going for about $224.99. For those curious souls, check out the full details in Nickâs video review linked below.
