High-speed drones motor selection

We are currently developing two custom high-speed drones
The first one will use 7x11E APC propellers running at 24,000 RPM, and the second will use 5.25x8E APC propellers at 33,000 RPM, aiming for speeds between 300–400 km/h. Both setups will operate on at least 6-cell batteries or more will be preferred

After performing preliminary analysis, including maximum mechanical power requirements and CFD, we’re having difficulty selecting the best motors due to a lack of torque curve data relevant to power and RPM.
Although we are aware that some users have used your motors in even higher-speed drones, we’re looking for the best match and most optimized motors for these setups.

Could you provide any information to help us identify the ideal motor for each setup? Technical details to assist with power vs. thrust vs. RPM calculations would be particularly helpful.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any good news for you.

The vast majority of data available is primarily based on static thrust testing. While there are independent manufacturers that publish data, including the usual curves for characterising motor/prop combinations, most of this information pertains to static conditions again.

I recommend exploring the following two companies:

    Instead of focusing solely on quantitative data, which may be less relevant to your specific use case, consider examining the general characteristics that apply to your situation. From there, select a few combinations that stand out and conduct flight tests to determine which configurations give the best performance.

My best advice would be to use data from a single entity, like Mejzlik or Tyto, atleast then you are comparing apples with apples. There will still be discrepancies in the data but hopefully they are small enough to still make an educated decision on which option is best. Given you have gone to the extent of interpreting CFD data, this would be my best recommendation.

APC produces high-quality props for this scenario. HQ also offer some really nice steep and over-square props that are also well-suited for your application.
