Identifying an APM clone?

Hi all,

Now, I normally hear word going around about potential APM board clones in the market. My only question is, how do you identify them?

The one on the left is a replacement board I bought recently, and the one on the right is a board I fried (never short circuit the power module with the APM connected, I learnt the hard way! ). Both are APM 2.8.

What signs am I supposed to look out for when identifying a clone?

Also, as a side note, what is the use of that jumper wire next to the GPS port?

APM hardware is Open Source, so BOTH boards are clones.
