Only 2 motors spin sometimes. others twitch

Hello, i’ve only got 2 motors spinning on this AIO, the other 2 twitch but dont spin. Motors are known to be working (have less than 5 packs on them!) I’ve been reading into this and it seems this 1-2s AIO might not support 1s? this wasnt made very clear on the product page.
I’ve flashed different firmware, followed the other post on here with someone having the same issues. Struggling to get it into DFU mode to flash BF4.5.1 too.

I’m really sorry to hear you are battling with your AIO.

Would you be able to send us a short video of the issue you are experiencing and I can then show the manufacturer what is going on and get them to weigh in.

I haven’t used this AIO so unfortunately I cannot comment, but we will sort this out for you.

I’ve redone the soldering on that 1 motor (although it was fine before) and also now tried QS just to see if there was a difference. Managed to sort out the DFU mode issue and got BF 4.5.1 on there too, no difference.

I reached out to NeutronRC for advice and received this:

I marked the motor brands that have been tested under 1S power supply on the AliExpress page. Because there are too many incompatibilities, it is not recommended to use it under 1S. In addition, in the current situation, after unlocking, holding the aircraft with your hand and shaking it back and forth 1-2 times will make it rotate. This is the case when I tested it on a non-recommended brand motor.

I’ve also just put the motors back onto the Air65 AIO and they all spin as normal.

Hi

Yes due to the current state of AM32 firmware, there are some switching issues with motors 07XX, 08XX, and 10XX motors on 1S. There is not ETA as to when this will be fixed as we (nor do NeutronRC) control the development of the AM32 firmware. NeurtronRC are still working on their own fork to resolve this (https://hf32.neutron-rc.com/), but its still not fully resolved.

So please bear with us until the firmware issue is resolved. For now I suggest to only use the FC on 2S, or with 11xx Motors if using 1S.

Can i return it in that case? as i got this to use on a 1s build and wasnt aware of the issues.

I see there is now a note on the product page, as this wasnt there when i ordered (stated 1-2s) can i please return? This was ordered to replace another FC on a 1s build so its useless for my needs.

Hey UMT, can i return this then? as it was advertised as working with 1s when i got it and now it isnt.

Yes, I am sorry we haven’t been able to rectify the situation for you sooner, unfortunately both Neutron and us are now both reliant on software which is developed by an external third party.
