Product Name: Walksnail Avatar Mini 1s Lite Hd Fpv Kit (Vtx + Camera)
Brand: Caddx
The VTX appears to have given up the ghost already. It was fine yesterday, but when i powered it up today i get a solid green light (as if it’s paired with the goggles) and pressing the button has no effect - the led remains solid.
I see that this appears to be a common issue, so are you able to warranty replace via Caddx please. The first one i had was killed by wet grass, hence getting a replacement from you so i used the flywoo stuff on this one to be safe and it was flying fine yesterday. But then solid green when powered up today. No comms with Goggles X at all.
Unresponsive so not a lot i can do. All cables OK, MIPI connected. Was fine prior to power back on.
I replied multiple times but your system rejects my emails
Morning,
Thanks for the response. I have disassembled to make it clearer and a video link is provided below – the VTX is powered from the FC as per the original unit, but to save soldering onto either board, I soldered the supplied wires together instead. Meant I had a bit more wire, but avoided touching either the FC or the VTX.
Flew about 5 or 6 times, landed successfully with no crashes and had video and TX info on goggles prior to unplugging battery. Powered on following afternoon to bind to different goggles and had solid green light but no connection to goggles at all and no response to pressing binding button. Sometimes no LED will come on at all on the VTX.
Also, I purchased several of THE 6S 850ma batteries as your site lists them as 121g, However, they actually weigh 152g which puts me over 500g on my Cinebot 30.
I’m sorry to see you are struggling with you lite kit. I’ve listed a couple things which might be causing this, do you have a different camera or cable to swap out and test if it is one of these? This will help us to narrow down what is causing the issue.
Camera Connection Issues:
A solid green light typically indicates that the VTX (video transmitter) is powered and connected to the goggles, but it may not be receiving a video signal from the camera. Check the MIPI cable connecting the camera to the VTX; it might be damaged or improperly connected. Some users have reported needing to replace this cable to restore video feed
Camera Fault:
If the camera itself is defective, it won’t send a video signal. Consider testing with a different camera if possible. Many users have found that replacing the camera resolved their issue
Firmware Issues:
Ensure that both the VTX and camera firmware are up-to-date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve connectivity issues. You can use a USB cable to connect the VTX to a computer for update
VTX Settings:
Check if the VTX is stuck in pit mode or if there are any settings that might prevent it from transmitting video. The VTX should be configured correctly in your flight controller settings (e.g., Betaflight) for proper operation
Let me know if any of these suggestions get you sorted out?
I’d prefer to try sort the issue out remotely if we can, if it is a simple fix we can get you into the air quicker.

>>> The solid green light is on from the moment it is powered up, with goggles not even powered on. Sometimes however the green light will come on for a second and then go off, sometimes there's a solid red light and
other times there is no light at all! This sort of behaviour indicates a fault on the board.

>>> The MIPI cable looks fine - i've had these damaged before but this one is secure and it was working prior to being switched off
If the camera itself is defective, it won’t send a video signal. Consider testing with a different camera if possible. Many users have found that replacing the camera resolved their issue
>>> The board is unresponsive - the bind button has no effect so it's not possible to put it in firmware update mode (it had 38.43.4 as that's what goggles L and goggles X are on).
Additionally, the USB connector doesn't connect to PC - not even an unknown device.
I do appreciate you're attempting to resolve remotely, but I'm an IT consultant of 40 odd years and diagnostics is my job. The board has had it. LOL - I've seen that a few people have had this issue and there do seem to be some significant quality control problems with the VTX 1S.
The FC connects to Betaflight fine and all the settings are still as they were (4.4 so DisplayPort +MSP on UART 1)
Can I get it replaced please. We'd only had it for less than a fortnight. I understand it's not your fault of course, but CADDX need to do a better job with these things.
