Order Number: 697619
Product Name: Betaflight Elrs Micro 2.4ghz Receiver
Brand: BetaFPV
I can bind my receiver alright but after 30s my receiver and the servos attached start twitching and blinking.
-Used a multi meter to check for voltage drops. But the receiver is getting a constant 4.8 Volts.
-Tried using only one servo to decrease the stress on the receiver.
-Detached the motor.
-Tried 4 different batteries.
-Swapped the slots of the all the components.
Hi
Have you already tried to update the firmware on your RX/TX? If so please let me know what version you are running?
It looks like you have set your RX to enter Wifi update status according to the LED behaviour? Are you able to connect to it via your browser, see this guide
Micro receiver LED status indication is shown below.
Indicator status | Meaning |
---|---|
Solid on | Connected successfully |
Double flashing | Binding status |
Flashing slowly | Connection fail |
Flashing quickly | WIFI upgrade status |
How would you rate our customer service?
Kind Regards

Well I tired to connect the drone to my pc but before I could the lights started flashing fast and it didn’t come up as an option on my pc.
After I turn the receiver on it works okay for 30s then (no matter if I’m bound to the radio or not) it will start glitching and all my servos will start twitching.
For this issue. ELRS have a timer to enter Wi-Fi mode after 30 seconds as default if they are not bound/connected to your radio so that you can connect to them wirelessly to update firmware/change settings. You can disable this if needed via the “AUTO_WIFI_ON_INTERVAL” parameter. When you say you cant connect, are you not able to find the Wi-Fi network from the receiver? Sometimes you do need to be very close as the Wi-Fi antenna on RX are not that great.
You need to make sure that your radio and receiver both have the same version ERLS firmware on them, ie all have V3 installed. Then the best way to bind is to either use the bind phrase that you can setup while updating firmware, or just use the typical power cycle 3 times to enter bind mode option. For more info please see - Binding ExpressLRS - ExpressLRS
I can’t connect it to my computer, as the receiver doesn’t show up as an option to connect too.
I thought it was because the receiver might not be getting the correct power from the esc but it’s getting 4.8 volts as I check with a multimeter.
Are there any other things that may be the problem?
Thanks,
Tom
Hi, just to confirm, when the LED is fast flashing, are you not able to see the ExpressLRS wifi network when you scan for it? As based on your video and explanation the unit is behaving as expected, so once you bind it it will connect to your radio and not enter Wifi update mode.
Otherwise can you confirm if you are able to bind using the power cycle bind mode, or are using the bind phrase etc?
Kind Regards

When the led is flashing it doesn’t appear on my possible connections list.
I’m able to bind before it randomly starts flashing.
When it’s flashing I’m also not able to bind to it, but I can bind okay when it’s flashing normal.
Also when it’s in the WiFi mode why do the servos move?
When it is fast flashing I’m not able to see it in my computers networks, well I can if it’s slower flashing.
But when it does the fast flashing that I’m referring to I’m not able to see it.
Could you please attach a quick video showing this, so I can pass it onto the manufacturer, as fast flashing should be Wifi upgrade status, slow flashing show connection fail according to ELRS documentation.
Kind Regards

Hello,
Like as it said in the message from BetaFPV, I’ve tried to re-flash the firmware but that’s hasn’t worked. As the fast flashing isn’t to do with what mode it’s in.
As I said before, im able to bind the receiver to the controller okay.
But after 30 seconds of the receiver being powered on it will start flashing flash and the servos attached with start twitching a little.
What do I have to do to send the receiver back? As BetaFPV said that you’ll be able ti send me a new one if the troubleshooting didn’t work.
Thanks Tom
